"A Journey Through Wellness"

Updated: Oct 15, 2019

Did you know a blood cell last about 120 days. In 3 to 4 months your whole blood supply is completely replaced. In 6 months almost all the proteins in your body die and are replaced, constructed entirely out of the nutrients you eat.

"Nothing is impossible the word itself says I'm Possible"

I love this quote especially this time in my life. In the past 10 years I have been working on repairing myself from all of the self destruction I have endured. It's a shame we take for granted our mind, body, soul and relationships.

As I look back from adolescence through my adult years I see so many opportunities I could of had. On the flip side of that, I see how many opportunities I can now have in result of my entire life. We have heard quotes such as "Life is what you make it", "live life to the fullest", "you only live once", etc. While there is some truth to these statements, there is so much more that goes into our lives.

Knowing there is absolutely nothing I can do about what has happened in my past,

I definitely have the opportunity to take intentional steps to choose more wisely as I move forward.

While on my personal journey through health and wellness my goal is to take each day and live on purpose. This includes all areas in my life but today I want to discuss health. Without our health, life can be very difficult to go through. It can take away joy, damage relationships, bring on depression, lose our jobs, create stress for our family and not to mention the burden of expenses. Yet we don't think about these things until something happens. I am a perfect example.

Growing up I loved my fried food, cheetos, sodas, sweets, hot dogs and pizza.

The "American diet" continued into my adult life, in addition to an unhealthy lifestyle.

I was always around toxic chemicals with my painting business for over 22 years.

Add in the general environment of city living, physical and emotional stress, not getting in enough sleep and hydration, or being consistent working out and meditating.

"I was a disaster waiting to happen . . . and it did! "

Even though there were subtle signs of physical deterioration through out the years I just brushed them off as a part of aging. I took multiple over the counter (OTC) medications as well as eight prescriptions (which in itself can add to bodily damage).

All this was a recipe for my shopping list of medical issues:

This is when I said enough was enough and I had to take my health into my own hands. With research of what foods to eat for healing, learning from holistic health care professionals, eliminating toxic eating habits, creating better environments, and several daily habit changes ...

I began to feel better. I was in a scary place but over several years of improvement, I'm at least 75% better than where I was. I am grateful to be here today doing the simple things so many of us take for granted when I couldn't, like taking a cap off a tube of toothpaste.

The next phase of healing...

I know it took years to develop all the damage I had in my body but I am truly amazed that in just a short amount of time it took to improve from life style changes and flooding my body with plant powders. It was so simple! However, I still have a lot of healing to conquer. I continue to take positive steps for improvement and I recently have chosen to use stem cells as an added therapy.

After a recent visit with Dr. Larry Schrader with Schrader Orthopedic & Stem Cell Treatment Center, I learned some of the benefits  Stem Cells can have in the body. They target inflammation and go to work on building up new cells for that area. When you understand that the body has the tools to heal and having healthy new cells to come in to rebuild, it's very exciting to think about the possibilities of feeling better. If you are someone experiencing pain then you know that any comfort is good but to to get on a healing path to possible recovery is exhilarating.  Schrader's Treatment Center uses your very own Adult Stem Cells and the Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) Deployment process. By using your very own SVF there is no chance for rejection.

So why use Stem Cell (SVF)?

The SVF have the ability to grow new and healthy tissue so it makes sense that if they could get your own body to release them, many degenerating and inflammatory diseases could be repaired. Since your body ages the cells and they are locked up and are not available. SVF is that process that makes them available. Doctors have discovered the wealth of stem cells in your fatty tissue and they have learned how to release them.

Dr. Schrader is very personable and has a thorough consultation before deciding if you're a candidate before the procedure. Included in the consultation, he will educate you on the procedure and ask you details of your pain points. He explains everything in layman's terms and Dr. Schrader wants to make sure you feel comfortable about the therapy.

It takes about 3 hours for harvest and deployment. Once you are prepped, your belly area will be numbed and through a liposuction procedure they will obtain the fatty tissue. Then through a processing step this is when the SVF is separated. Once this has been completed, the SVF's are deployed back into the body. The nature of SVF is to seek out and repair damaged tissue throughout your body. You are released with nothing more than a little band-aid and a binder to go home and rest. A side effect maybe wanting to sleep. In this case this is good since sleep is part of any recovery and healing. So rest is recommended.

The whole treatment sounds simple but the science behind it is intrecut but amazing.

I find it interesting that this is nothing new and the SVF technology has been around for many years.

As more information and data builds, we will hear more of this in the future. I just love technology!

I am very excited about this therapy and to think, with my new healthy habits, how much more effective will the SVF be working in my body!

Oh the possibilities of what Miranda 2.0 will feel like!

My mission is to inspire healthy living and as I learn and grow for the better

I have to share it with others!

So with that said, I will be documenting my experience ... and I CAN'T WAIT!
